Dave I can't recall another auction that had so many near mint red Indian quarts. Selling at $4-500 each.

The crazy thing is the guy didn't bid it up to $1500 on his own. I don't understand people some times! Crazy!

The guy that bought it is actually a seasoned collector . Yes there were at least 3 guys on it right till near the end . Even the fella said , I guess I really wanted that one lol.

I see it a little differently. There are loads of Red Indian tins out there with new lids and bases. They are beautiful, quality relid work, but they are not original. If you are a stickler for originality one way to ensure that is buy a full one!

That is true it was a really good one and the way things are headed with original , it didn't really surprise me too much . There was another site , with points being raised on the full or empty can thing . With several collectors saying they empty full cans for a variety of reasons . I think full is always worth more but that's just my opinion . Someone should poll it on here . Full or empty would be interesting with lots probably on either side of the fence ??????????

Thanks for the posts over the years. Makes an interesting read. Now I know there are three topics not to bring up. Religion, Politics, and full vs empty oil cans!
