I have a opportunity to buy a Masonite vertical Delco battery sign in excellent condition, Would a Masonite verse a painted metal be more valuable due to it being more rare since Masonite signs did not survive as much or about the same value ?

Thanks Nelson

I would stay with metal, but that is just from a lasting condition view.

Masonite is less valuable to most collectors with a value about 60% or so of the metal sign value in my experience. For gas and oil related this seems to be the case.
