About a year ago I started researching where the Standard Oil (Indiana) stations had been in Kansas City. Along the way I found a treasure trove of pictures that changed the direction of my project. The current results of my research can be found at: www.HistoricGasStations.comHope you enjoy it, Lee

Thank You, what a great site, if I could only go back. Well, in 1975 I did work at a SUNOCO gas station in Warren Mi. 12 & Mound, but it was not like these. Now I go to the Jimmy Johns that has replaced it. I can say pumping gas was the best job I ever had, although not the highest paying. I still love the smell of gas fumes, but dread the taste. Had a few bad siphon's in the days .. LOL Petro

Haven't found any yet. Unfortunately, most of the gas/service stations did NOT include their brand in the name of the station (John's Super Service not John's Standard Super Service). Most of the major brands would have a listing of their stations (not totally inclusive however), but the small guys didn't.
If you have time, scan through the listing of "Unknown" stations. Sometimes you can catch enough of the globe or a corner of a sign or something to let you identify the brand. If you find one, let me know the picture number (click on the picture and the picture ID is listed) and I will update it.
Thanks,
Lee
