Had to finish some work today so I was stuck inside working on the computer and was able to check in on the auction and from what I saw it was crazy money again. Will miss it tomorrow but I imagine more of the same.

Whats funny is I have delt with buyers with deep pockets and they dont want to give a thing for it but if there at the auctions then they have no problem spending it.

You can say that again.Really cheap with the little people, but, when they are with their high rolling friends money is no object.

Pumps are going for very reasonable to cheap prices. I can't believe that American 6 sided visible restored sold for $850

I personally thought they were high especially the air cabinet.

The air cabinet is the one thing I especially liked and wanted. Actually it was reasonable except for the added premium. Try finding another. These auctions now are just something to watch, pricing most out of the market. Sure would like to know who is paying all this money, not many on here I would think.

Actually some of the pump prices were low for the common stuff and others went high for the very rare pieces.

I am sure everyone there was happy with there buys.

You're right Graig, I was adding the buyers premium which in my mind they were high, the fact that they were restored didn't lift my skirt. But to each his own. The air cabinet was very cool but again it was restored. Personal taste.

I checked in from time to time and was surprised at the tin sign prices.

It seemed to me that this auction was a lot closer to reality than the first two were. I'm not sure if some of the hype has dwindled or its the fact that the market has absorbed about as much high end stuff as it can digest. There were many items that sold for under the low estimate and a lot less that brought way over the high side than the previous sales. I would've liked to had a few of the globes but just made up my mind I wasn't going to get caught up in it. Some of those went surprisingly low and I probably should've at least set in a bid but I didn't. There might be some real buys in the next one if the trend continues, we'll just have to wait and see. It's all pretty much too rich for my blood though.....GB

once you add the premiums on, most things went above retail, imo. but there were still some good buys. one that I noticed was the 6ft hood tire guy, sold for $5500... probably more of a $8k sign.

there have been some decent buys at each auction though. In the auction yesterday, I was able to buy a sign for only $275... and it probably should have sold for closer to $1k. Also bought a globe for around $1k less than what its worth.

I've noticed, I've had the best luck if I ignore the big ticket and oddball stuff that we all want, and focus on some of the other more common items. After all, a 'less desirable' item in this sale, would be a featured item in most other auctions!
