I just purchased a standard pole sign. No pole or frame, just the flame and both plastic halves. The red has faded on both and been "replaced" with a piece red plexi and screwed to the sign. I plan to make 2 wall mount signs, one internally lit, the other no lights.

Is it lexan and can I drill mounting holes in the outside lip without cracking?

Is there a way to separate the two halves of the flame?

And finally is there a certain paint or process for removing existing and repainting the white and red?
