Was hoping to buy this sign tonight but got blown out of the water. I have never seen it before. It showed up locally and was consigned to an auction near me. It looked to me to be an Allen Morrison sign and that would make sense being found near Lynchburg Va.
Now that it is sold I thought I would bring it up for discussion. Anyone ever seen one? It is on Facebook with some better pictures. It is 15 by 25, painted tin, and marked Made in USA.

Congrats on HIDING it....you and others did well !!! not often a GEM like this turns up and stays a secret until after the auction is over !! Wouldn't have made a difference to me..went for over 7K, way out of my tax bracket.

Beautiful, Best example I've seen out there. Worth the $7000.00 in my opinion.

I sure thought there would be more posts on this. It's real guys. I saw one 10-15 years ago. Probably Texaco's rarest sign out there. This one is in great shape.

If everyone in the collecting world had known, it would have gone much higher.

I was at the auction. Mam I sure wanted the sign--- I bid up to $7000 on it, that was my limit. Like blacktee said probably Texaco rarest sign. I know the guy who won it -- great guy , at least I know where it's at now
