I think Mark is asking if that is a "registered trademark" R after the Speedway Y Buster.... Darin exactly...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I looked and didn't see one until you told me where it was. Good eye, yep it's a circle R. Does that determine age or authenticity? I assume it means it's an official piece from the Speedway.

Not sure Bryce! The guy I bought it from everyone seems to talk highly of so I can't see him selling me a fake without him telling me.. But anymore info is great!! Is it a pump plate possibly?

I assume it means it's an official piece from the Speedway. ...I don't think the circle R was in use, when the older logo on the left side was...'REG US PAT OFF', or something similar would have been the norm at that time - if anything was used at all... ...I'll be honest, the fonts used for 'Indianapolis Motor Speedway' look like they were typeset on a computer, and not created by hand...the circle R kind of settled it for me...I'm thinking it is a nostalgia piece, created for sale by the raceway for sale at their gift shop... ...while I'm dispensing with the bad news: I really don't think the license plate attachments posted above are 'right' either

A few of my Peotone buys.
After all these years buying pumps and nozzles, I've never found or owned a roller nozzle. I broke down and bought this one.
On Sunday morning a new truck rolled in and I bought these 4 pumps, I was one happy camper!

Not much for me this week just a Iowa gas 2001 pin and a hand written thank you from Sinclai oil Corp. and a Speacial employees bicentennial pin.
