I bought a visible Wayne 519 last week and this raised letter Red Crown came with it. This is a very early raised letter globe with the 7 inch glass flange base and the little darts around the perimeter. It has some slight damage, but is still a very displayable globe! I have not yet cleaned it and wanted to offer it "as found" before I touch it.
If it does not sell, I will wash it up and repair the 2 broken jewels with some epoxy and sell it that way. I can deliver this globe to the spring Peotone show for free or I can ship it, but shipping a crown is very expensive because of the large box size needed. It would be much better to have someone pick it up in Peotone!

I repaired this globe and the only damage was the 2 broken jewels.
I have had several collectors look at this globe and they didn't notice the repairs until I pointed them out. This would be a great display globe for the top of a pump and would work great, either inside or outside.
The repairs were done with a colored epoxy and are permanent!
I cleaned it up real well before the repairs, so it looks quite a bit more presentable! LOL

I'm pretty sure it would be between $60 to $70 for shipping, if it will fit in a 24 by 24 cube(double boxed).
I can send it back from Iowa Gas to Tryon, NC with a friend of mine?
