Hello all!

Me and my Grandpa built this. One way to do it if you have the space to do it. Enjoy!!

P.S. Sorry if the picture is sideways.

Thanks
Noah

Noah, Looks Great!! I use the single lens holders from Tways and put a light fixture in it. Those work great too. Wish they had a holder for the 12.5 lenses.

Noah, the display looks very good!

But, seeing the photos; I wonder, how do you keep the lenses from "rolling" in the channel?

Here where I live, every time a large truck or Bus rolls by; my whole house shakes... And while not real frequent we do get the occasional Earthquake... (not related to our "neighbor"; Mt. St. Helens)

So, I make sure my ad glass and lenses are secured so they don't move... I am wondering what happens to your lenses; if something like that happens where you live?

Thanks Bob!

They don't role. The house doesn't shake and I live in the middle of the woods on a river. So, they are all set. Could probably put a small Lego brick next to each one? You can slam a door and it won't shake it enough for them to role.

Noah I am with Bob. Block them so they don't end up on the floor!
Nice BA lenses btw.

Even if this is high up, some kids playing, or some adult tripping, and bumping into the wall below it, is what I would worry about. It might jar one starting it rolling, that might bump the next, and then they might all start to roll.

It is a great looking display...

It's actually a very stable shelf. You can slam a door, or stump around upstairs and it's all good. I put some small Legos next to each one so they won't roll. All set!

Looks real good Noah!! And nice looking collection!!
But it wouldn't hurt to add something to guard against a worse case. Better safe than sorry.

Looks great!!
... and instead of Legos, 2 dabs of clear bathroom caulk in the groove around each would do to make sure they don't roll, but to each their own.

Not Caulk - Museum Putty/Wax

You can get it at Lowe's or Home Depot.

It's a small package of blue putty called DAP BlueStik Putty, Item #218893.

You pull off a bit. Warm it in you fingers and stick it to the shelf and sit the lens on it.

The stuff is sticky forever and reusable.

We even use it for our Christmas cards. We stick them on the wall with it. It comes right off and won't discolor the paint.

Good luck!
