Tokheim double-head oil dispenser. This two compartment oil cart is complete and in good condition for its age. I was told this was made for Gulf. All moving parts (including wheels) are free and turn as they should. The glass cylinders are missing. $1300 or best offer. This item is located in Unadilla, Georgia. I will be at the upcoming Moultrie, Canton (GA), Maggie Valley, and Dixie swap meets and can deliver to the show as long as payment is made beforehand. I can also assist the buyer with a third party carrier.

It is difficult to look at a pump companies literature and try to determine why they published something.

This is a nice example of the Tokheim 423 from 1926. During this year they published two different Bulletins for this dispenser, one for the general buyers and one showing the dispenser painted and decals for the Gulf Oil Co. So actually, it was not necessarily made for Gulf, but really looks great in Gulf colors.

Thanks for the info, Jack! It's always great to learn a little more about these pumps!

Jack, what is the difference between the 423 and the 340? There are different drawings of each in both the first and second editions of your book and the first edition shows it as a 340 but the differences are very hard to distinguish between them. Just curious as I have the same dispenser restored and always thought that it was a 340. Thanks....GB

Take a better look at the pictures, the 423 has a tray to hold the bottle/whatever, the 330 doesn't. Also, the glass cylinders on the top are different. The unit shown above has the tall cylinders.

...if it has 'GRCO' on the pumps, it was made for Gulf...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Mine does. It is on the pump casting like the one for sale. Dave
