Hey fellas, this is not the place to bring your fight, but if I'm buying from a seller from ebay, and they say cashiers check or money order and item will be shiupped faster, they should have it ready to ship even before the auction , so you both lose, good luck next time.

FYI: The base was listed as the correct one. However, those curb signs always used those monster socony bases.

It looks like this thing has been settled. I'll delete the other thread on this matter as requested.
To summarize, Mr. Burnett bought a sign that did not make it's eBay reserve from Mr. Dillon of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Payment was sent, but Mr. Dillon went on vacation as he advised Mr. Burnett. When he returned from his trip, Mr. Dillon chose to not ship the sign and went on another trip. Mr Burnett sent many emails and attempted phone calls with no response. After the situation was put on this forum, Mr. Dillon was motivated to reconcile the complaint of an undelivered sign. He has refunded the payment and apologized.

A couple of lessons for everyone:
In this Internet age, it seems like most people want everything right now. An answer to an email or a purchased product shipped right now. All of us, including me, need to respond in a prompt manner to those who are doing business with us. Unanswered email and dodged phone calls cause suspicion and panic. Items should be ready to ship when they are offered for auction or for sale.
On the other side, patience is often sacrificed in the expectation of Internet speed. Remember that even honest people don't always respond to email right away and that circumstances may slow the shipping of items from time to time.

The Golden Rule applies here. Put yourself in the other guy's shoes. How would you feel then?
