I've been meaning to post this item to get a feeling from the OG members. I've collected Mobil specifically for over 10 years. I will be the first to admit I've not "seen it all", as I don't think you ever will in this hobby, and especially with a brand as large and varied as Mobil. At any rate, I've never seen one of these oil dispenser paddles before. Ebay item 291769215644. I would think in all the old photos I've viewed these would have popped out at me, but this is the first I've seen. It looks correct, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen one before? It is listed in California and has black lettering and border, like the pump plates in the General Petroleum territory would have. Any input is appreciated, Darin

I'm as far from Mobil expert as it gets, but I don't like the shape of the sign, specifically the points or lower ears of shield. It doesn't look like the General petroleum shape to me, and I haven't seen one like it either.

I saw that also. I collect only Mobil, far from seeing it all. I was not comfortable with it either.
Collecting Mobiloil, Mobilgas, Mobilmarine, Metro, General Petroleum, looking for Mobil variations I do not have, thank you Steve

From my experience with steel toys & pedal cars, people have made & continue making "FANTASY" steel trucks & pedal cars. So, it does not surprise me that this applies to PETROLIANA.
