I just picked up this nice Gilbarco 1006 and thought I would share some pictures. It's a nice smaller pump ...but still heavy! It is complete with original hose and nozzle, although it is missing one window glass on the back side. I paid $250 for it. Do you think I got a good deal?
Enjoy!

You did just fine. I restored one of these a few years back, added a globe, and it turned out great IMO. Sam

Thanks guys for your input! It's funny, I had intended on restoring this pump, but the more I look at it in the garage the more I like it's original patina...with the Enco Extra, and the Tiger. I'm thinking of just cleaning it up and leaving as is. I have heard that "Deft" (spelling?) detergent works well to bring out the original colors. Has anyone else tried this? Also - I was thinking about getting some clear "POR" rust inhibitor to treat the surface rust. Anybody have any thoughts?
Thanks!
Eric

When I was a kid I kept getting him (her?) mixed up with the Frosted Flakes tiger. Also remember at the end of that campaign that you could get a tiger tail to attach to your gas cap.
