I'm guessing the seller was pleasantly surprised and glad that he didn't end the auction early.

The highest price I've ever seen for a set of shakers at auction was for one of Jarvis' sets that went for $2400.00 including the 20% commission. Both of the sets in this thread are quite rare. I had never seen the Agway set in that color before and all BA sets are hard to find. I pay close attention to auction prices on shakers and I've seen quite a few go in excess of $1500.00. Like anything else these sets are worth what someone is willing to pay!
