I am trying to decide on a color combination for my Wayne 805 double pump. I have chosen Veltex colors (cobalt blue & orange), but I am at a loss as to what combination to use? I have some opinions, but thought I could use a few more!
Please vote on one of the crude drawings I have done and help me make up my mind!

I like # 1. Large areas of color for the two tone are more appealing to my eye than little areas of color here and there.

I voted #2 as I wasn't sure #1 would look like parts from 2 different pumps.

The drawings are not so bad. Now to send them to your kids or other young adult relatives to tape to their refrigerators!

P.S. You all think I am joking, but I have asked my mom for her stick figure drawings she does with her grand and great grandkids and post them on my fridge. Brings a smile to my face as I see all the joy that went into them...

#1 - I agree with Matt

Also, I do not like it when people do contrasting color lettering on pumps. I noticed you had blue colored 'WAYNE' on the 2nd one, and orange colored 'WAYNE' on the third one.

no matter what you choose, I think the 'WAYNE' should be a standard color like Black or White.

Thanks for all the input everyone! I'm going to go with color scheme #1 and will probably take up Craigs and Bryces tips!
Since the blue will be so dark, I think we will have to go with white on the Wayne lettering and I think we will do orange light shades and if they don't look right, we can easily remove them and paint them dark blue.
The parts will be painted very soon, but reassembly is going to take some time. I will post pictures of the process when my feeble old mind remembers to take some! LOL

WE HAVE COLOR!! Nate sent me these pictures of the painted parts, so I thought I would share! We had difficulty trying to decide on a color for the script lettering on the base of the visi, which is at the top of the pump. We decided to go with silver, since the faces are silver. We thought orange would be too much contrast and white would be too bright, and black would blend in too much.
I think we nailed it!
I will start a column later on the assembly of this beast. It will have to wait until after Iowa Gas though. I'm just too busy getting ready to go-----
