I have a porcelain strip sign from an old Chevron station that was located in Baker Ca. Trying to get $500 but I'm open to offers just send me a message with any questions or offers.
Thanks

It could have been the name of the town the station was in or the operators last name. Judging by the distance from the edge of the sign to the first and last letter it looks like there could have been a first name panel to go along with it.
Chevron did that.... I've been dealing on a very similar sign in the same colors that says "Spuds".
Here is a much smaller proprietor sign in the same colors.
Just took another look at the thread before posting and it looks like Dennis has nailed it.

Cool, that is a piece of history that really should be put on display in a Visitor's center in Baker or somewhere near. I will be driving by next week on my way to Iowa Gas. I will wave to the world's largest thermometer as I pass!

Sad to say Baker doesn't have a visitor center any more and we don't have a museum here. But I agree that's where it belongs.
