Fun Hood tires piece this week. Circa 1920's- early 30's spare tire covers with embossed Hood tire man. NOS in the boxes although the boxes are well worn and the embossing on the covers lost some paint just being in the box. I am guessing the era from the size of the tires.

Picked this G&B 86 Calcometer pump. Another one straight off of the farm, just how I like to find them!

No squirrels in West Texas, lots of hogs. The hogs would root the shinnery oaks and get the acorns. A hog will eat anything!! Not much left but mesquites now. You guys are dandys..............

Here's my reference guy's.

Even A Blind Hog Finds An Acorn Now and Then
Share

In the South we have a saying that “Even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then.” For all you Yankees and people who’ve never watched “The Dukes of Hazzard” or my personal favorite, “Mama’s Family”, this means that we’re all occasionally lucky.

I read it too quick and thought 'blind frog', blush didn't take a second look. Figured it was a typo.

Those match holders are cool...
