As a collector you gotta love when an auction company advertises a large gas and oil auction and when you see the flyer showing some cool stuff. And then you go to the auction page on Proxibid and the funny thing is that the 18% buyers premium is not what really gets you *****.....It's all the reproduction ***** scattered throughout the auction with the wonderful Item Descriptions : "*Please look at all pictures." But why would I doubt them.... "This is undoubtedly the landmark petrolina auction of the year in Minnesota" LMAO http://schultzauctioneerslandmarkrealty.com/https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=115149
Thanks Mike
Always Looking for any Pure Oil and Sunoco Items.

Lot #186 Socony is repop, it is listed as an original, the holes are not close enough to the edge.

And that's just what you can see from looking at it online. Haha! As always buyer beware or have someone you know at the sale to verify what your buying, etc. Honest auctioneering and disclosure, not so much anymore.
I left the auction early because of other family commitments, but nothing I needed anyway. Had a blast visiting with local collectors and friends, not to mention the MN Dealers, not all of them go to Igas...I think its called networking.
Happy hunting, Kim

Dan, did you mean lot 185? I was concerned that the red and white borders looked too wide. Joe
