Another knock off , This is like the 3rd one this guy has sold . another good pump plate destroyed by rip offs . I always wanted one of these, now I have lost all interest.

I agree with Nelson, as my interest in collecting Mobil pump plates has diminished considerably as well (and I know what's original and what isn't).....I don't even care to add to my collection much these days in general. Don't get me wrong, I love this hobby and preserving history, but the current state of things (repros, influx of people out for the fast buck, etc.) has all but shot the enthusiasm I once had collecting this stuff.

I feel your pain Darin! Those very thoughts have hindered my collecting at times.
And even though I don't know much about the Mobil plates, it has been a heart ache to watch that line of plates/signs get hit so hard by repops.
I hope I don't open Pandora's box by even saying this, but I'm lucky in that Sunoco has yet to be hit very hard by the repo world. And what does get repoped is usually so off that it's no problem identifying it.
