I believe this is 20's era.
It came out pretty Kool cool I think!
Now I need more cans from this period!!
Shelves are a little week. Wanted to get it done. And they're plenty good enough to hold up a can.
Please excuse the mess on the floor. I'm working on it!

Thanks guys!!
It's the top 5 inches of the barrel and of course the lid with the graphics. The rest, other than the "Sunoco" logo cut out of the side, was pretty trashed.

It makes me laugh, because I bet if this was in some upper crusty retail shop in a place like, Charlevoix, Mi., they would have 2 grand on it as an art piece. laugh

BTW, I love Charlevoix, Mi.!!!

It is an art piece! How did you come up with the idea?

Its like when a sculptor looks at a piece of wood/stone. He/she already see's the finished piece. You just have to remove the material that doesn't belong.

J/k! I just always wanted to say that. grin

I dont know. It just kind of came to me when I saw it in the auction I got it at. And something my brother in law had sent me toward the barn wood instead of buying new wood.
And as I was working on it I realized it needed more, so I added the shelves.

And now this project has several others spinning in my head. So more to come!
