Morphy's is only giving a 2% discount for cash which means they have moved their fee up to 21%. This is pure BS and we need to make it known we aren't going to take it.

In my opinion, they can charge whatever they want...I simply choose not to bid in any form whatsoever. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

I'd sure like to know who the bidder on ProxiBid with ID of t***5 is because it sure looks suspicious and a lot like a person who perhaps consigned the auction. I say that because they are quite often the first 5-6 start out bids and is doing so on what seems like hundreds of items?
Like they are pushing bids online to get the number higher for the start of the in house bids. They are bidding on all sorts of things and this makes absolutely no sense as nobody buys randomly like that. Once the in house floor bids start hitting, you see nothing more of the online bidder with that ID. Don't you think if it was a legit collector they'd at least stay in certain items and buy something away from a floor bidder. Nope not happening here today.
Not cool "IF" that is in fact the case.

I sent this message into the auctioneer 3-4x and got zero response.
Is ProxiBid user ID T***5 the actual consignee. They are opening bids on hundreds of items and this raises a HUGE flag like it's someone shill bidding the floor bidders. Please Investigate as it looks fraudulent

I agree on the suspicion on T5 being a shill bidder or consignee. As you mentioned the first flurry of bids are his alone. If that were a real bidder why wouldn't he just stay at the first bid until someone else is bidding against him.
As for the buyers premiuim. I have now seen auctions as high as 27%. It hurts but if you need to fill a hole in your collection where else can you go?

I just did a run through tomorrows auction and there are at least 55-60 items with randomly categorized prebids from another user ID B****n and how much do you want to bet there will be another 40 bids placed before the auction starts?
I would reason to bet if Proxibid investigates, the users have the same registered IP address. I called ProxiBid and they are investigating the pre bids

I would cc Morphys as well. Did you also notice the Chevrolet SSP sign that was withdrawn as it was a fake. If you look at the description it was with the original shipping box. Does that mean they repopped the shipping box as well?

If people on here are so upset about premiums, then why are the prices as high as they are. SOMEONE IS BIDDING !! Have not bid on an online gas and oil auction now for years, too high of prices and will not pay the way to high auction fees.
It makes the auction houses look really bad and IT WILL BITE THEM AT SOME POINT.

You guys need to calm down with the conspiracy theories a bit... T****5 is me. I leave tons of bids instead of having to sit and watch the auction all day. Some bids more aggressive than others... Most I don't come close to winning, but I always end up with a few so it's just the way I prefer to do it. Also keeps me from getting wrapped up bidding 'in the moment' on certain pieces.
(and I've never consigned anything to morphys)

My apologies for the comments on the authenticity of T5. I am humbled by the number of bids you left!

No disrespect to you Bryce. Just looked strange to see so many opening bids from the same user. And strange to see bids on Canadian stuff too.
