Just an FYI to those not "in the know" or new to the hobby, this Mobilgas globe is a reproduction. Ebay item 122218011563.

Obviously the seller fully believes it's original, but original Mobilgas globes never had a "closed A" in the word Mobilgas. On this particular globe version, it will always be a serif, or open A. I never quite understood why Socony-Vacuum used the serif A on globes through 1962 since most pump plates used after the early 40's had the closed A, but it is what it was!
