Check out this space age Danish Texaco Station that was way ahead of its time. Kjeld Jensen sent in the link with this message, "This gas station was designed by the famous danish architect Arne Jacobsen, just north of Copenhagen. It has recently been restored, though the gas pumps are modern ones, and the shop has been turned into an ice cream shop." Click for more pictures .

Thanks very much, Kjeld. Love that record album cover graphic, too. Click the images in the first link to enlarge them.

I have a photo somwhere I took of a similar station in Germany, the tapering off from the canopy was larger. More like about 10ft across at the top and extending down about 6 or 8 ft. I will see if I can find it for better description. I remember taking the pic because it looked so neat, I think the building behind it was square.

Anyone else seen these or have pic???
Cool station!!
