I have several GOC pumps that seem to have found their way into my collection. The first pump on the right is a Dayton 1420-XG and next to it are a Gilbarco 101, Erie 129, Erie 129B, Erie 129-12 and on the left end a Bennett 378. Now I know these aren’t anything special to a lot of people and I’m a 22 year collector of pumps and have to admit that there aren’t many pumps made before 1950 that I wouldn’t have in my collection.
I also have a Tokheim 876 that I have had for a year now and haven't been able to complete because it is missing both of its doors. I would really like to add this pump to my GOC lineup but have had no luck finding the doors. It looks like the doors are 58” tall based on the opening, fasten to the pump just like the doors on a Tokheim 36B pump, sliding up under the top and fastening to the bottom with swivel latches. I believe the corners wrap around the pump sides using two 45 degree bends and Jack’s book shows that the window borders are raised off the door with 45 degree corners. I have attached a picture of a Gilbarco door that has, what I believe, is a similar window opening. My guess is that because these are lift off doors they were more often than not set aside when someone worked on the pump and eventual they got misplaced.
Please take a look in your parts inventory or discard piles, and if you find one or two Tokheim 876 doors you can part with, I would be truly grateful. As a side note, I have a number of doors for the various Erie and Gilbarco pumps that I would gladly part with if it would help in my efforts to find the doors I need.
Thank you,
Marshall

Here is a picture of the pump with the door on it. http://petrolianacollectibles.com/tokheim%20876.htmGetting pictures of the Gulf pumps is difficult because the pump companies didn't make up fancy color brochures for the pumps because they were being sold only to Gulf. I know there are acceptions to this, but if you look at my book many of the Gulf Pumps are either drawings or black & white. Three of the pumps you have are ones where I have a poor picture, is there anyway you could take a full picture of the Bennett 378, Dayton 101 and the Erie 129-12 and send it to me. I would very much like to replace the pictures I am presently using. If you can, please include your name so I can acknowledge the contribution. Thanks, Jack Sim

Jack, thank you for the information. I'll take pictures of the three pumps tomorrow and email them to you.
