The Warden and I are going to spend 2 months in Alaska next summer, and I am looking for a smaller road worthy camper to pull along behind my Ford 1/2 ton.
Also, any advice given will be appreciated!

Last camper I had was a 5th wheel with one slide out in the living room. I see alot of guys pull them with 1/2 tons, just cant get a huge one.

Buy one in Canada on your way thru. Currently you will get $1.33 Canadian for a US dollar.

I would look into renting a small motor home, class B or C

We made the trip in a ford 4x4, never put it in 4x4 but was glad we did it in a pickup. Stayed in a motel every nite. Lots of pot holes in places and no road shoulder, drive carefull. Would not pull a camper there and back. Get a copy of Milepost book and plan your trip. Alaska was good, northern BC was stunning.
