I would have posted this in the "How To" forum area, but it didn't look like I could post a new topic there. I'm trying to upload proper-sized photos to a new posting of mine. But, for the first time ever, the photo itself is not appearing in my posting. Instead, this appears at the bottom of my posting:
Attachments 015 (425x640) (2).jpg (0 downloads)
Then, if I click on this area, my photo comes up. Again, I stress that the photo meets the forum size requirements, and that I'm following the same photo posting procedure I always have. This is a "first" for me. However, I believe I've noticed this happening with some other people's posts in the For Sale with Prices section of the forum.
NOTE: I'll try to post the photo again here, and you'll see my problem in real time at the bottom of this posting.
Can someone please tell me what's going wrong, and how I can solve the problem? Thanks. John

Thanks for replying, LOWright. I've been playing around with my computer's photo editing program in the last couple of minutes, AND solved the problem thanks to you.
Even though my initial photo (that wouldn't automatically appear in my post) met the forum's size requirements and uploaded fine, the problem seems to have been related to the size. I went back in and resized the original photo a little bit smaller as a test, per your suggestion. That did it. The photo that previously would only appear as a clickable attachment now comes up in my posting, as we'd expect (see below).
I'm happy to have this solved. Perhaps this posting will help someone else. It's still interesting to me that my first photo, which was sized below the 200kb forum limit, and uploaded fine would only appear as a clickable attachment the first time around. Odd....but I'm certainly no computer person. I'm just glad that reducing the photo size a very small amount did it. Thanks again, LOWright. John

My experience has been; if I keep the max file size below 120 Kilobytes the image will appear.

Images up to 150 kb display on the page when using File Manager. Images over 150 and up to 200 kb show as a link to the image. I have no control over that as it is embedded in the forum programming. Nearly all photo images sized at 640 x 480 pixels, saved at the standard 80% in jpg format will be less than 150 kb. We offer an EZ Resize Gallery and a Resize Tool to get photos resized.

I appreciate the clarification and additional info, Jim. I'll simply keep my photos at less than 150 kb in size, so they display in my postings. Not a big deal at my end to do that. Thanks. John
