Man, am I ever late on this. I just turned this up in a box of old goodies here at the house. Perhaps someone can still have some fun with this neat item NEXT Valentine's Day. This is a 1930's, die-cut fold-out Valentine. It reads "OIL" Be Your Valentine....If You "CAN" Be Mine.
This nearly 80-year-old is in good condition. The colors are very vivid. There are two black splotches under the oil can, that can be seen in the "open" photo. I don't know if they are supposed to represent oil puddles, or are some marks from storage over the years. This Valentine measures 3" by 3-1/4" closed, and opens up to a larger size.
