Trying to pay for an item and not have seller pay fees but "friends and family" option charges the sender now?

Logging in to paypal account it states its free as long as you are using a bank account or paypal balance. Remember the old way send a ck. gets there in two days,still works for me but your out a stamp---- but your support a dying service the postal worker.

I remember you could send payment for something and if you said it was for "family" neither got the charge?

OK..I don't have enough in my balance and the remainder was going on the Paypal card...maybe that's why since its not all coming from my balance or a bank account.

I am leery to link my bank account for some reason.

Havn't used the service in many moons,you mention friends and family wasn't there a box for gift that didn't charge either end. Maybe someone else can help us both out.

if you have paypal attached to your account, sending 'friends/family' is free... this is because Paypal can electronically transfer funds from your account without a charge from the institution.

if you only have a credit card attached to your account, there will be a charge regardless. This is because Paypal is charged from the credit card company in order to transfer the funds.
