i started my first resto its a wayne 866 narrow frame.how do you get the sight glass outer nuts off?are they threaded? dont want to break them.the the lower side panels are rusted through about an inch from the bottom. do you replace them or are they reparable?there is a switch on the upper panel that turned the lights on i think.the cover is missing what is it called and is it available after market.. thanks for any info.. the pump stood guard over our family farm in travers city michigan for many years and will be agreat project

you can purchase a special wrench that will fit into all the little groves. it fits a half inch drive ratchet or breaker bar. I got mine from vic's place in guthrie oklahoma. or you can contact them at vic's place .com. I broke a pair of site glasses before I broke down and bought the wrench. you might also get lucky with the strap wrench good luck. mike

I had a difficult time getting them off even with the wrench. I had to apply a little heat and eventually got them loose.
