i have thermometer i was told it was real is it. above 110 degree it has a 48 wrote. made in usa wrote on it, tca and true temp. is it real

Hi, I had one of the Packard thermometers marked 48 also and have seen quite a few of them for sale so I have to say someone reproduced them back in the 80s as I had mine for at least 15 years. Most of the ones I have seen were way to nice to all be original.
