Glad you made it back Jim and I hope you enjoyed your stay in the mountains. I have never seen as many clockface pumps at Dixie as this year. Where were they when I was restoring pumps? LOL Lots of Wayne 60's too that went home unsold because of the "saturated market" for them there. The restored Polly Tokheim 36B sold for $4,000 (I believe). It was a very nice restro. Another unrestored 36B had an asking price of $975 and it was a nice pump! I seriously considered buying it as I don't have a 36. But I just bought a new truck and didn't want to scratch the bed. (I think that is a pretty good excuse! LOL) You could tell Dick wasn't attending as the majority of the 36's still had their tops. I also think I heard a price of $300 for the 6' Bardahl man sign. The seller also had other oil co. variations of this sign.

Sinclair Joe, My camera is a Olympus C-750 digital with 10x zoom and macro focus. Got it at a good price from Amazon through this site. Gary, I had a great time as a tourist in the Smokies, but the best part was visiting with all the Oldgas guys there for Dixie Gas. I'll post a picture below of the log cabin we had for a little more $ than a decent motel. The Smoky Mountains were across the little valley from our porch. We loved it. I could retire here happily. The 6' Bardahl Man was priced to me at $1200. It would be right here looking at me now if he had told me $300. Maybe I looked like had money, not! ------------------ Jim "Oldgas" PottsYour host and moderator[This message has been edited by Oldgas (edited 09-14-2004).]

Great looking cabin Jim. Maybe you can put ALL of us up next year. LOL I'm sure I am mistaken on the Bardhal sign as you actually priced it and I just heard a distant conversation. Knowing the seller, your price is more in line with his pricing.

Here is the view from the front porch of the cabin and an early morning visitor. I had to get used to some of the Tennessee facilities, but we had a great time overall. ------------------ Jim "Oldgas" PottsYour host and moderator
