I have decided to offer up my Rapidayton 450. Complete restoration just a couple years ago. The skins were custom made from the originals with the same guage metal as originals, not like the thinner repop skins available out there. Fit and finish is excellent. The frame was acid dipped and everything was PPG Epoxy, PPG sandable prime, Basecoat and Clearcoat. All the mechanisms work except for the pump handle. Original cylinder. Repro bonnet. Graphics and globe lenses by T-ways Graphics. Decals and pinstripes burried in clear. Metal globe body. Original gate valve with site glass. Original Rapidayton nozzle. All polished brass.
It is what I would call museum quality and would easily be the centerpiece of most collections. I can't think of a flaw. The only thing that would be nice is to have the original bonnett. One will come along one day and I have the paint code should the new owner want to upgrade the one currently on it. These pumps are not easy to come by. I have priced this well below what the market would likely bring at one of the big auction houses. To be honest, I don't want to deal with that headache so I am offering it up here for what I have been told is very reasonable.
If you would like more pics with higher resolution sent to your email, just shoot me a PM.
Local pick-up or I will help with shipping at purchasers expense. Pump is located an hour North of Detroit. Just a few hour drive from the Columbus show
$5800
Thanks
