This sign is 6 feet tall and 15 inches wide. The seller wants $295 for it but I have never seen one of these before. Any ideas on value? This isn't for resale. It's for personal enjoyment.

I think that is a fair price for that sign. May even be a real good deal?

I would think about any original porcelain sign in decent condition in that price range would be a good buy these days....

There is currently one of these on ebay that is located in India, which is known for producing fake signs. I would stay clear, the one you are looking at could have come directly from India thats why price is so low

Actually, theres a ton of them on ebay, all from India. Makes it pretty clear that these are fake in my book, and that you should stay away

Agree...if from India = DO NOT BUY, anything! I didn't even think the cheap price would be due to the fact is was a repro.

Yup, theres 17 of these on ebay currently, and all are listed in India. Wouldn't touch this sign with a 10 foot pole

In general, I avoid anything that seems to mainly come out of India. This one is a little tougher, because it seems like Inchek tires was a tire company in India, based on a quick search. I don't think you can rule it out as an original but I personally would pass unless there was more info available.
