Do you stamp them to let people know they are not original script tops? Or do you do anything to tell them apart?

Real one have studs spot welded on,my are epoxied

Metal top is a metal top. Use a stud welder for the studs. Like the sheet metal that goes onto a visible pump restoration, but the same metal top is used.
