Hello to all of you on the forum! I'm a newbie!

My name is Ryan and I am a classic car broker with Classic V8 Sales (www.classicv8sales.com).

I have done some research on ebay and have a general idea of where the prices are on some of these, but I could really use help on these finds. Thanks so much in advance for your help!

These are the first 4 pieces.
1) "Free Air" Air Pump
2) Texaco Ethyl Pump
3) Richfield Ethyl Pmp
4) Mobilgas Pump

They are all original. I do not have years for them, but they are in pristine condition and are not reproductions.

Best,
Ryan

Just wondering what your definition of "original" is?

^^^ what he said...

you have to be careful saying 'original'. all of those items are 'restored originals' which most likely contain reproduction parts, etc.

values differ depending who you talk to and who you are selling to (restored items like those tend to have higher values to car-guys and the non-collector; decorator), here is what I would say just based off what you provided...

Air meter: $1500-2000
Wayne 70: $1700-2500
Wayne 80: $1500-2000
MS80 script top: $2000-2500

Thats what I could see them selling for in an 'OldGas' collector type of environment.

You may want to check the top on that mobilgas script top, if it fiberglass then it’s repo & valued less than a metal original. Also wondering how the glass is held in on the Wayne 80’s? I don’t see a rubber window molding...Chris

Thanks everyone for your input. with regards to what some think look like "kitchen lights" what should I look for to validate those "shades" are original?

I've seen some of those pumps going for closer to $3,500... what would be required for that higher value?

Thanks again!

what would be required for that higher value?... Finding a Buyer.

generally, you're not going to find someone in the collector community that will pay that for a restored common model pump. you will have to find a car-guy or decorator wanting one to sit next to their hotrod in the garage.

Ryan, a cordial suggestion: Don't waste your time "validating" anything about the "shades" being "original". That work has already been done for you by several knowledgeable guys here on the forum, who gave of their expertise and time to help you.

These shades ARE original... home or commercial glass globes for a old ceiling mount or suspended light fixture, and that's it. They don't belong on the air meter or the Mobilgas pump. Some unknowing or frugal soul has simply repurposed these light fixture globes by installing them on the air meter and the gas pump. John
