Hey guys,

The auction was incredible! I got there Friday, just after noon, with my fiancee Tara. We looked around in awe at all of the awesome stuff, and I almost immediately bought an RPM oil rack. I then spotted Rex, and he introduced us to all of the Oldgas members that were there -- It was great putting faces with all of the names. Bob Drake and his wife were there, along with Brad (gasoildude), Richard Wier (pegasus) and his wife, Phil McCauley and his dad, Bob Liter, and even more that I've forgotten (sorry!). On Satuday, guess who showed up? Jarvis!! I got out of there before anything broke.

On Friday night Rex and Nita took us all out to dinner, and Rex's whole family was there -- it was Rex #2's birthday! We all had some great times chatting it up over dinner, and later in the casino.

Satuday was globe and sign day -- There were some amazing globes, my favorites being a Tower, a Magnolia (pictured below), a Crystal Flash Dope Free on a clear ripple body, and the Oldsmobile Service globe.

Tara and I had to leave just after noon on Saturday, so I'm sure others can fill everyone in on the excitement of Saturday afteroon and the Mobil collection on Sunday. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the Mobil room - maybe someone else did - it was an incredible sight.

So, I ended up buying some Olds stuff, the RPM oil rack, and a G&B Model 1 pump -- can't wait for BOTW...

On to the pics!!

Great Pics thermactor,
Looks like it was a fun place to be.I know my wife is happy it's over I've been locked in my basement for 3 days.

I'd like to thank Rex and Nita for the opportunity to have bought some of this wonderful collection. What I bought is finding a good safe place to stay for awhile(until I'm ready to retire).I'll take good care of it I promise.

I managed to get my first 2 globes and at what I thought was a very nice price.Lots 557 & 628.I can't wait for them to get here.I bought a couple other items today.I'll post everything in BOTW when they arrive.

I'd again like to say thanks to Rex & Nita.I don't know ya but I know kind people and that's the 2 of you to a T.

Hi guys...just got home from the auction. Had a real good time, weather was great until today...storms rolled in. Anyway, I didn't get much, some cans a can rack...and the best thing in the entire auction! The one...and only....Rex's personal favorite...barberchair! I had to get a pic with him in it to hang on the wall next to the chair. I already have the spot picked out in the living room for it! It's gonna make a great chair for checkin out Old Gas!
