Long time collector & vendor Dwight Sawyer passed away on Thursday Nov.23rd. Dwight has been a main stay at Iowa, Columbus, Mason Dixon Gas & Hershey for 20+ years, as well as the original host of the Northeast Gas Bash. Condolences to Mace and the rest of his family & friends. RIP, you are one of the good ones.

sorry to hear... if anyone has a picture of Dwight, please share. I'm not too good with names, but tend to recognize faces from shows.

Thanks for posting Mike. I was just thinking of him the other day.
Dwight was an early supporter of my show. A real nice guy who will be missed in our hobby as well as the snowmobile world.

My sympathies to Mace and the family.

I was wondering why I had not seen him at Hershey or Zebulon. Sorry to hear of his passing.

This saddens me. Mr. Sawyer, Mace and my oldest son shared a special bond. Annually at IG for the past 10-12 they brought "gifts" in the form of toy service stations for Chase. Over the time we also purchased dozens from him. As time went on, we got deeper into his collection and he would say to me "dad this year is going to hurt a little more than last year". Meaning my wallet and him for letting go of the better stations. Chase has about 50 and 2/3 of them probably came from Dwight.

My oldest is a unique kid, Mace and Dwight really embraced him.

Dwight was an amazing person, my heart goes out to mace.

Jim

Photos sent in of Dwight Sawyer by Ed Natali.
Hope more collectors can recall him with this picture.
Local fire department honored him.
Rest in Peace, Dwight.
