Hello all, I recently aquired this vintage tire display stand. I did not know this, but according to research I have done. Ford made tires around 1940. I was told there where reproductions made of these, but this one is original, and I believe somewhat rare? Appreciate any knowledge of these. Thank you, John

Done4, The other side is painted the same. With a little light rust. See you are from Union Pier Mi. I live in Dowagiac. 👍

In your research, does it say whether the tires were for cars or tractors, the FORD script is unique

Tires where definately being produced for cars! My best guess on unique script is from being early.

Hi, Guys. Here's a pretty good article about the evolution of the FORD MOTOR COMPANY script logo. Interestingly, a close examination reveals that the logo on your tire stand is not identical to any of the other Ford script logos shown in the article. There are small, but definite differences here and there in the type style. I would think that FORD controlled the graphic standards for the company's logo carefully. Henry was quite the detail guy, I've read. Your neat old tire stand presents an interesting historical "puzzle". As has been said already, it is a very neat piece, regardless of its origin.
