Guys,
Some punks stole a Rush visible gas pump from an old Marathon station on Route 66 in Miami, OK yesterday . Be on the lookout for someone selling a red Rush visible in the area. There is a number to call in the article for the Miami police department.

They tried to steal all three pumps apparently but must have been seen, ran out of time, etc. The owner has removed the other two.

I really wish our criminal sentences were enforced. If larceny is 2 years in prison, then they get two years - not three days and probation. How much crime could be deterred if people who were caught actually had to do the time listed in the books?? I hope they find these pieces of poop.

It’s a crying shame when someone’s hard work and dreams are shattered by some thieving punks that don’t value another persons property and labor . It’s just discusting . What a shame . I hope they get caught and he gets his pump back .

I live less than an hour from Miami and will be watching out for anything related to this. It's my guess that the pump is somewhere far from the Midwest by now. The station was just off I-44 which would make it easy to transport it a long way before it is sold. Everybody reading these reports needs to be vigilant when something is stolen no matter where you live. Our hobby gets so much more publicity now that professional thieves are feeding on the items that are easy pickings. There was a six foot Skelly on its original pole stolen here locally a couple of years ago. It had stood in front of the old station in a main hghway since I was a kid. They pulled through one night and cut the base bolts with a torch and were gone. Someone had to see them but it was never recovered that I know of. Thieves suck.
