About when did company's stop putting globes on gas pumps.

While there's always exceptions, from what I've read over the years most of the major companies phased out globes in the early 1960's.

I think " Clark" used plastic ones in 80's & early 90's

The globes were gone when I owned a Shell station in 1969.

Dixie used them in southern Georgia in 1997.


Looking for photos, etc from 60s era Shell-A-Rama gas station and Pal's Diner, Rt. 17 Mahwah, NJ
& US or state highway signs, shields, route markers

Cliff Brice used them through the late 80's early 90's on the wall sconces, but I think the Sinclair dino globes were pulled in the late 60's early 70's when the pumps no longer took them.
