Was the globe the only part of this pump that was illuminated if it had the stamped steel bonnet?
I believe only the cast iron bonnet model had the light arms with lamps on the ends of the arms that lit up the glass jar. Joe

Does anyone currently own a B-D Vizo Cut 83?

Don't currently own one but out this way it's probably the most common visible pump to come across. I've never seen an original tin top with a globe holder, only a couple of cast tops with tabs which would have allowed one. A lot of people have rigged the tin tops up over the years to accept globes. I saw one pump with cylinder lights once and I've seen pics of originals with them but have never really been able to look very close at one.

Looked in Jacks latest pump book and the visible's presented including yours did not show globes on them and from what I can see did not show light fixtures.

Thank you for the responses. Until I can get a close up photo or look at the bonnet in person, I won't know whether someone made a globe holder. I found a photo of what I believe to be a B-D Vizo 83 with light arms.

The information on the 83 which can be purchased at http://petrolianacollectibles.com/boyle-dayton.htm states the following: "Electric Lights" At slight additional cost, the pump can be equipped with electric lights, with or without a large top globe. The necessary fittings are supplied only when specified. Metal frame globes, with glass discs, can be furnished in a number of oil company designs, and also lettered 'Gasoline.' So lighting and a globe holder were optional on the Cut 83. I will have to look at the bonnet in person to see how the seller attached a globe or if it is a factory bonnet with globe holder. Thank you Jack.

The light arms are original and rare. Here is a picture of another one.

Thank you Matt. Have you ever seen a Cut 83 with a globe holder and no holes for the light arms? Based on my understanding of Jack's info, the light arms would have been attached to a globe holder.

The green pump is one of mine. I have seen several over the years. All light arms were attached to the globe holder. Some of the center collars have a cutout for the conduit that goes inside of the pump. I have seen some where the skins were cut for the conduit that goes inside the pump. Richard

I noticed on the green pump that the glass covers appear to screw over the cast iron socket holders and on the gray primer pump, the glass covers appear to screw up into the cast iron socket holders. Joe

Here is a link to the GPH top pieces. They are different than the pics but looks like they could be modded if you could find cast light fixtures like those pictured. I'm debating these myself for the 2 B&D's I have. https://www.gaspumpheaven.com/shop/product.php?productid=17946&cat=263&page=1

The cast iron socket holder designs are different between Richard's green/black pump and the gray-primered pump. Richard, are there slight indentations in the bonnet where the light arms pass across the bonnet?
