I am looking to buy/trade for this Pure Sign and I am hoping the pros here can put a ballpark value on it for me...this is a rust through hole on the very bottom of the sign.

I'm not saying it is your intention. But if a 100 guys will not reply maybe they think you are fishing for a price to sell on ebay. You just joined in August.

Interesting take...here is my problem with it. Why would that matter? I guess I don’t understand looking at a post like this on a forum that you joined, thinking in your head “that sign is worth $1,500 all day” but not replying because the newer member may sell it on EBay.

If you have the knowledge from years of collecting, buying and selling...share it! Isn’t that why we all joined this forum? If the members who can get answers to their post are the veterans...chances are they don’t need the advice or opinion anyways.

Also, I was trying to trade/buy this sign and didn’t want to overpay. (Not that it should matter)

This thread has become a sensitive place with some new members looking for value then placing items on Epay and never to be seem again. Please don't be upset because of slow replies or non. This site is dedicated to collectors and over the past few years we have seen the culture change. I think had you started your post like your last one you would have received more input maybe. I also think you are right on with your gut value. 9 times of 10 my gut has been more correct then my heart or brain. Good luck with your trade.

In that condition, I would say $1000-1300.

As a Pure Oil collector my whole life, I would have to say even Steve here is being generous in this condition.

2 years ago I sold one in better shape with a pole and ring for 1800

Thanks
Mike

Always Looking for any Pure Oil and Sunoco Items.
