Great stuff obviously brings great money. But there was still some pieces for the working guy.

Wow, the 28% Buyers Fee doesn't seem to make much difference in the hammer price.

$9500 for the Sunoco flange is insane!! More than double what I think I saw the last minty one sell for.

Morphy's obviously don't mind online bidders to bid up their items, but cancel them out the last second if they are the winning bid, I will find better places to spend my money

same scenario happened too us also, have a print out of us being the high bidder & when auction ended they took a lower bid amount
maybe somebody from Morphy's will explain these shenanigans as this isn't the first time - they not only screwed us but the seller out of more money .. ... cool
this isn't what I'd call a reputable auction house..

Final cost $11,400.00, BOOM! With sales tax included $12,084.00. Good luck reselling it at that over-paid price!

Yeah that Sunoco flange was the biggest shocker for me too. Totally out of line but you know what they say about a fool and his money....

We need to bring Dan Matthews back ASAP. Dan is consistent and honest and I don't think we will see 28% fees, but then who knows

The juice is $20% with re-sale number and check! I bought 5 signs. Not sure I got any bargains. Prices aren't going down on anything. Try buying a new vehicle!

I don't know of any auction company anywhere in the world that would sell an item for less money!!! I was at the auction and there is lag time on the internet, the auctioneer was constantly waiting for the online bidders, so I'm sure there were several times when an item got closed at the auction before the item was closed out online.

However you could spends thousands of dollars attending an auction and several days of your own time and attend an auction in person like myself and many others did..........just a thought.
