Hello,

I just picked up this Tokheim model 6 circa 1901 to ad to my "pony" pump collection. There is only a drawing of it in Jack Sims new book. I thought maybe, some of the PP members would enjoy seeing the real pump. These pumps were used to drain off water from the top of gasoline tanks. They would have been used in conjunction with private garage "pony" pumps, that had a underground gas tank.

I am a collector, but also a restorer of gas pumps. I would really appreciate any input on whether or not to restore it. Thanks in advance. Kevin

I think it looks great as is. I would leave it alone.

Looks great! I would at least change out the hose clamp to something from that era ... maybe even check the hose color too and swap that out if needed. Other than that leave it.
