Sold at the top of the market in SoCal and then went back when the bottom fell out, am I right? Are you still selling real estate or did you go back into the old biz?

Thanks Larry! I have been lurking from time to time but not doing too much with pumps. I knew I was moving again so I had to keep it light.
Lance, it is not really like that but kinda. (I am not smart enough to plan it that way) I did sell at the top in CA, and flipped a couple houses up in WA, sold my personal home up there in Jan of this year. Now I am renting in CA. (just watching the market drop) After we had our first baby up in WA my wife kinda flipped out. The lack of family really set in for her and she NEEDED to come back to CA to raise our son around his cousins, etc. So instead of going to Orange County again, we went to Bakersfield. (where almost all of her family is and all the cousin that are my son's age) I sold most of my pumps before moving to WA, sold the keepers before I left WA and now I'll have start over! So send me the 850 to kick things off! We're having another baby, a girl, in Oct. No more pool biz for me and real estate is dead. Now I am doing what I have always WANTED to do. I am supposed to start the police academy in Jan.

Jeff, congrat's on the starting a family, get that son of yours the newest pump book, to heck with Barney!
I didn't think you liked guns? Either way, I'll write the producers of COPS and see if we can't get a couple episodes filmed in Bakersfield after you get your shield. Maybe you can be the Loose Cannon Cop that keeps a Boa in the trunk to sniff out the bad guys?
I can't believe a seasoned pump collector like yourself wants to start out his next collection with an 850??????

I am all done with snakes. I sold everything before moving back to CA. I got burned out and decided to cash out. My son's middle name is Bennett, so I am sure he'll be a pump hunter. He is only 2 but it ready to start collecting. We are going to do a gas pump bedroom for him when we buy a house. (I am looking for a "bennett" dealer sign, if anyone has ne to sell. I have seen them for Wayne, I assume Bennett had something) Hey Dick, I still got that ugly nozzle around here someplace. And my legs are super long now! Glad to see you are still around. And yes, ALL collections need an 850! I am bummed I sold mine, should have kept it! I still have the Sunset mock-ups you did for me. (and the lenses, just need a pump to do it on! Actually, I have a ton of lenses, they all need pumps now) [This message has been edited by aquaelvis (edited 09-14-2008).]

Jeff, you must have some family that would swing up to Vancouver and grab the 850 for you, I can get it that far. In case you are wondering why, this is what's on the table. I started collecting gas & oil 20 years ago because I couldn't afford one of these, I still can't, but if I sell a couple pumps I can swing it If it makes it easier for anyone, I'd do a partial trade for a clean & complete Bowser 97.

That is a sweet ride Lance. Get it! I have been looking for a '36 Ford. (not that I like Fords, but that is a classy year) I am trying to finish up some stuff on the '48 chevy coupe that I have now. (Was hit in front so I replaced w/ tin off a '42) Once that is finished I think I'll sell it. (as usual... like the 55 coupe deville and 52 fleetline I sold in WA)) I only have one brother up in WA and I wouldn't trust him to drive to the gas station for me! That 850 is sweet though!
