Hi, first post. I was searching for info on a "Gargoyle 1940 Arctic Close Out 3-Gal" can on the internets - including ebay - and couldn't shake out anything. Until I thought "Look for a petro forum" and sure enough, right in the for sale forum, MOBILOIL 1940 "Gargoyle" 3 gallon oil can. So 5 years ago, I have one sold comparable at $80, but mine is not as nice, it has more of that good old patina grin

Knowing that condition is everything except for the occasional "when was the last time you saw that", what do you all think this one might be ballpark worth?

thanks

Welcome to the forum. As they say, condition is everything. My guess is the Can is worth $20-$40, probably closer to the $20 side of that.
