Bought this at an auction. Can’t find anything similar. It’s about 10x8. Is it a pump plate? Or some other use? It’s embossed tin. Marked scioto sign company. Thanks for any help

Almost looks like a license plate topper/replacement. I had one that said "I use Mobil" and had the Pegasus.

I thought about a license plate topper too. That may be what it is but the mounting holes didn’t match to license plates. That’s why I thought about a pump plate possibly. Thanks for the input
