So, I was cleaning out the room where I store many of my small Texaco items, a couple of pumps and some signs...I also have a display for the globes I have. I have a scarce 15 inch Texaco globe on a lower shelf, thinking that if something happened and it tipped over...it would be safe. I stacked some boxes up and set some loose papers on it...to close to the globe. I then set a hammer on the stack and it slid off, bounced on the floor and headed straight for the globe. The handle hit the side of the metal frame, missing the glass by about an inch. No damage....but, I thought it was a goner...rule to remember...pay attention to what you are doing...LOL.

New rule, no hammers within 10 feet of the globe. Seriously though, be glad you it wasn't any worse than a severe scare for you. After you change your underwear you should go buy a lottery ticket!

As Maxwell Smart said, while holding two fingers an inch apart "missed it by that much".
Good thing to!

Alex, if it were my luck, I would have a broken globe. Glad to hear all is well.
