Yes, under side was white. It reflected the light better.

Wow. What kind of crazy top is that? I kinda like it lol

Being this was a reproduction. And I can do what I want with it....i want to mount it to the top of a old pump
My pump already has a spot for a globe. Do that make a base. That will bolt to this area. And then I just add a 2 1/4 pole

Here is the pump I'd like the mount the pole and shade to

To add your light to the top of your pump will take some fabrication. Just bolting a post to the top sheet metal would not be strong enough in my opinion. Original "stationlighter" gas pumps had a lamp post on the top of the pump from the factory. They had special brackets that connected the pole to the pump internal structure, not just to sheet metal.

Here's a link to an older thread with pictures that may help.

Just finished this Wayne 70. As mentioned above there is a metal assembly attached to the frame that fits against the top of the pump. The light post clamps to this to provide stabilization . The station lighter assembly is quite heavy and and probably would rip the top of the pump off if not attached to the inner structure.

Is that post orignal? Yeah if I mount it. It will have to be brac3s some how up under the top skin. Being as I have never seen one. Even a pic up close of the base of pole. Right now it's just ideals
Until 2 weeks ago. I didn't even know that was a thing...so I'm going to learn

Thank you

Go to the link above from Oldgas. That is my post. You can see the bottom of it. It is original. I do not think they reproduce this type post. Others may know. Good luck with your project.
