I recently did a fantastic appraisal of railroad antiques & will be listing a few of them here. I have here a pair of heavy, antique railroad lanterns. The first is a Handland 4-Way Lantern from the St. Louis. Measures 16" in height.
We also have the Arlington Dressel 3 Way Lantern from the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad. The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad was formed on July 24, 1872, through the consolidation of the New York and New Haven Railroad and Hartford and New Haven Railroad. J.P. Morgan owned. It owned a main line from New York City to Springfield, Massachusetts via New Haven and Hartford, Connecticut. The company eventually formed a virtual monopoly in New England south of the Boston and Albany Railroad. Measures 16" in height. More pictures are available upon request.
Lanterns are $160.00 apiece
Shipping is USPS Priority, at cost.
Message with any questions.
